Rice
You will probably be surprised to hear that an entire weight loss plan, called the Rice Diet, has been developed in the 30's by Dr. William Kemper. The diet insists that rice is the staple of the dieters food intake. As you progress with the diet you can slowly mix in various fruits and vegetables.
If you take a cup of cooked rice i.e. approximately 15 grams, it contains only 178 calories which works out to be one third of the calories of the equivalent amount to beef or cheese. Wholegrain rice is the one you should use as it is much better for you than white rice.
The use of rice in a diet produces amazing weight lose and great medical results. The rice diet has been shown to reverse and cure kidney ailments and high blood pressure.
Potatoes
Yes that's right the common and garden potato to help burn fat! The potato can achieve rapid weight loss as long as you do not add fattening toppings. Each potato on average contains 0.6 calories per gram. Potatoes are a great source of fibre and potassium, they lower cholesterol and protect against strokes and heart disease.
As you can see Rice and Potatoes are not bad for you as long as you only add low fat toppings of vegetable add-ons. You could always add the two together by having a baked potato with a vegetable rice side order.

im pretty thin but i have remaining fat on buttocks and waist that wont go away. Any specific type of exercise i can do to burn it off ?
Answer:
You can not target fat burn. Unless you do lipo ( which i do not recommend ). Key is diet diet, then exercise.
You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Also add more fiber. The fiber and protein will fill you up, helping you to cut down on your unhealthy eating. Also by eating more than 3 meals spread out through the day you will kick your metabolism in high gear. Here is a general meal for a day:
Breakfast: 2 poached eggs
whole wheat toast
1/2 cup fruit
Snack: Cottage Cheese with veggie
Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread sandwich
1/2 cup fruit
Snack: Protein Shake
Dinner: Turkey Burger ( no bun )
Side of brown rice
Side of Broc.
Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week. Do both cardio and lifting. But on days that you do both. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn. Cardio can be a sport: basketball, soccer, football, anything with losts of movement. Golf is a no no.
So Example :
Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio

The elliptical at the gym and also the leg and butt press machine.
There is nothing such as spot reduction.

Hope that helps!
Ofcourse you can do certain exercises to work those areas of the fat. You will be doing that lieu of muscle however. If you want to lose weight as well as tone those areas you will have to mix some cardio in with the exercises.
Crunches, lunges, squats and leg raises are great for working the butt and/or abs. Also consider speed walking as opposed to running, it’ll work out the lower half of the body better and it still counts as cardio.
i recommend u try doin a sit up or a reverse sit up wen u use ur legs to go up instead of u it really works
